CLRC has recently signed on as a distributor for AVID Canada, the Calgary-based supplier of high quality injectable microchips, injection syringes and scanners. AVID Canada is one of the major suppliers of microchips to the animal industry, and has available a complete line of individual sterilized, and bulk unsterilized chips, which may now be purchased through CLRC. These chips are standard 12 mm FECAVA chips, which is the current industry standard. Every chip bears a unique ID code that will never be duplicated and can never be re-programmed. The chips can be read within a range of 7 cm. using the AVID Mini-Tracker Scanner or from 15 cm. using the larger Power Tracker Reader.

Microchips and syringes will be shipped from the CLRC office. Scanners will be shipped from Calgary.
